Prof. Knierim is known for his authoritative discussion of textual criticism of the Old Testament. He holds two doctorates from the Univ. of Heidelberg. He is now retired from his post as Prof. of Old Testament, School of Theology at Claremont; and Avery Professor of Religion at Claremont Graduate School - posts which he held for over 30 years. He is also a Minister of the United Methodist Church. - He is the author of countless articles and several books, one of the most notable being The Task of Old Testament Theology: Substance, Method and Cases, Grand Rapids: Eerdman's, 1995 (603 pages). |
